The team took a much needed rest day at Camp II-b
(or 2.5) today. A few of the members are dealing with altitude issues
now as well as the the draining effects of carrying up a lot of weight
from communications and power gear and equipment. While a few of them
rested in camp, the others climbed down to retrieve a cache of supplies
and Len, still feeling strong, did 2 carries of gear from the cache below
up to their current position.
Now at about the half-way mark up the mountain, they are being careful
to measure heart rates and blood-oxygen levels to guage their pace. The
weather has continued to be relatively good with a bit of overcast and
some snow. Should things go well, the plan is to reach the summit in another
9 days.
