CLIMBING SCHEDULE

The number of days to climb Mount Logan is between 20 and 35 days depending upon weather and our team members' health. Regardless of any schedule or our desires to move up the mountain, it is the weather that ultimately determines our schedule. Often, Expeditions take days to fly onto the mountain itself due to clouds and storms, and while on the mountain, moving up higher is only possible under the right conditions. Often, wind storms with up to 70 mph winds will blow across the glaciers with the temperature dropping below -25 Celsius at night.

Our expedition, which is planned for 32 days, is 11 days longer than the average trip for Mount Logan giving us more flexibility to wait out storms. And while we have prepared an ideal schedule for the Expedition planning out the days, dates, altitude, camps and locations, the weather will determine when and how far we actually move. You will notice at the end of the schedule we have allowed for a number of days for health issues and/or storms which we will use as the situation changes and we face the elements of the mountain.

Our "live" broadcasts for our audience, and specifically for our schools, are planned around rest days. We have selected these days because equipment set up and broadcast will typically take 2 – 3 hours. Also, as a considerable amount of battery power will be required, we need to allow for recharging periods. These rest days on our schedule are currently planned for specific calendar dates, but will likely change because of weather. We will make every effort to have our broadcasts on a weekday to accommodate the school week.

For our "live" broadcasts, the plan is for the following dates (which can change based on weather):
- May 7
- May 11
- May 15
- May 17
- May 23
- May 25
- May 28 – June 1
- June 4
